Brača Van Dusen ’92 Down River is the specially reinforced version of our popular Brača XI Van Dusen ’92 blade. It is the result of advanced technology, a proprietary blend of composite materials, and was designed with the adventure paddler in mind. It is available with hard and soft shaft construction options.
The edge of the blade is reinforced with an aluminium and titanium layer that makes it highly impact resistant in extreme downriver conditions.
Shaft Stiffnes Measurement Process
Adjustable Shaft System
All Brača IV Marathon and Down River paddles are available with an Adjustable Shaft System. This allows elegant adjustment of overall paddle length (within 5cm range) and blade angle from 0° to 80° right or left in 5° increments. The system also allows you to disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation. IMPORTANT! Always clean your adjustable shaft regularly! When used in saltwater conditions, clean with freshwater after each use, otherwise disassemble and clean every three days. Store your adjustable paddle disassembled if not used for more than two weeks!
